We could leave the car in the guesthouse car park for our whole stay, since the nearby bus got us into central Innsbruck in just a short ride. They also gave us an Innsbruck Card, with free transport and other benefits. The guesthouse has a good restaurant, and the waiters were great. Everyone on staff was lovely, and breakfast each morning was more than enough to get us going for the day. A great little place, highly recommended.

The showers were excellent, with strong pressure and water that got wonderfully hot. The toilets were clean and the towels soft. Our beds were comfortable, the rooms were pretty clean, and there were enough power sockets for most people, though some furniture was quite old. There wasn’t a hair dryer in the room, but they brought one when we asked. Reception was quick, and the friendly woman there knew the local transport well, arranged taxis when we needed them, and explained bus routes and fares at checkout. Breakfast was fairly limited, but good quality for the price in expensive Innsbruck. We weren’t there long enough to judge everything, but checkout was fast and the stay was pleasant. It was the cheapest hotel in Innsbruck, and still perfectly decent for the price.

The family room faced the junction of two main roads, so it was noisy at night. The location is excellent and the staff are very friendly. The room furniture has a period feel, but doesn’t quite fit with the rest of the decor.

One of our two rooms was unbearably smelly, and when we raised it, the rude woman mocked us and told us to sleep with the window open. We had to do that. Both rooms were bad, with poor views, and the hotel itself felt old, dirty, small, and unfriendly. Breakfast was poor too, so it wasn’t worth the money. These people shouldn’t be running a business, let alone a hotel.
