MEININGER Hotel Innsbruck Zentrum

The rooms at Meininger were very clean, but I wouldn't stay at this location again. The dorm arrangement wasn't comfortable: two strangers had to share a double bed, and there were no curtains or other real privacy around the beds. I'd also have liked the option of an all-female dorm, since I've had uncomfortable experiences at other hostels. The toilet room had no sink, so if someone was showering, there was nowhere to wash your hands. And the lockers barely fit a backpack, never mind a suitcase. That doesn't feel acceptable in a hostel room full of strangers, where you need somewhere secure for your belongings.

The hostel was clean, the staff friendly, and the snowboard storage room was nice. There was a kitchen too, but it had very little space and few supplies for the number of people. I was lucky to get a bunk bed. Just seeing how close two people who don't know each other have to sleep made me decide I won't come back. Seriously, they can't do this to people. It's sad because everything else was really nice. Thanks anyway!

We had a very nice stay with my family in a four-bed room. The place was clean, warm, and comfortable, and the location was great. The bathroom was good and the drain wasn't clogged, though the shower was a bit small and the water pressure a little weak.

The location in Innsbruck is excellent, the four-bed dorm was a decent size, and the beds were comfortable. The shower was good, too. It can get noisy at night, though, because the hostel is beside a hospital and you hear ambulances. We didn't eat breakfast there. From what I saw being served, you can get better for less money nearby. The kitchen is small, so there's often a queue, and there weren't enough cups, sharp knives, or bowls. During our week there, the tea towel wasn't changed and the bins went several days without being cleaned. The fridge is quite large, and the food labels they provide are great. Bear in mind that few grocery shops are open on weekends, especially Sundays, if you're arriving then.
