Hotel Alp Larain

We spent a week in the Studio cozy living. The room was nice, had a small kitchen, and was cleaned well. Breakfast was nice too, and the wellness area was really good. The kitchen needed more plates and glasses, more than one of each per person, along with more cutting boards, scissors, and oven mitts. When we left the wellness towels on the floor for replacement as the rules said, we didn’t get fresh ones. We had to ask reception for them three times. The wellness setup with children was very uncomfortable. Children are allowed in, which felt strange to us, especially when we were naked. Some people wore bathing suits, and there were no clear rules about clothing or children. More children aged 2-9 arrived, some unsupervised. We asked at reception whether nudity was required, as is customary in Austria, and whether children were allowed. We were told clothing was optional and children were allowed because staff 'cannot stop them'. That seemed very odd. A written rule against children might reduce the number who visit, and mixing nudity and clothed guests made people uncomfortable. We felt awkward seeing children while naked and had to cover up. Seeing others in clothes also left us unsure whether we were supposed to be naked. A wellness area should be relaxing, and we don’t think children should be allowed there. Staff promised a sign, and one eventually said children under 14 must be supervised, but it said nothing about clothing, so there was still confusion. We wish the website had explained the policy so we could decide whether to book a hotel that allows children in the wellness area. We had a good stay, but the first wellness visit was uncomfortable, and the second was ruined by all the kids and having to speak to reception. Thankfully, we had the wellness area to ourselves on the last two days.

A cozy hotel in a good location, with service at a high level. Breakfast was fresh and delicious every day. I recommend it!

We had a wonderful time here. Breakfast was included, along with free bus 🚎 and lift 🚡 tickets. I’d suggest the BBQ plate from their own cuisine 😋 or the beef wraps 😋

The room was spacious for two, and the bathroom had underfloor heating. There was a great choice at the breakfast buffet, plenty to fuel a day on the slopes.
