The lift right beside the hotel is a great location, but the rest felt far below the advertised four-star level for the price. Paying four-star rates for something that barely felt like two reminded me of buying an €8 bottle of water at an airport that costs €0.50 at the supermarket. The hotel itself was underwhelming: dated rooms, showers literally falling apart, and quite a bit of street noise. The beds were comfortable and the place was clean, to be fair. Breakfast was decent but not impressive. The ski lockers were basic and too small, with nowhere near enough places to sit. We parked behind the hotel and got boxed in by other guests’ cars. The day before leaving, we told staff we needed an early start and were assured it’d all be sorted by 7:45 a.m. Apparently the owner had been partying at the bar with guests until 5:00 a.m. and overslept. He reluctantly moved two of the four cars, then lit a cigarette instead of finishing the job. We couldn’t leave until well past 9:00 a.m. A disappointing stay, and the excellent location seems to be doing most of the work for the hotel.
