Hotel & Luxury Appartements Dorfstadl

We were six of us, three adults and three teenagers, and found this a great hotel for families. The staff were always friendly, welcoming and ready to help, and breakfast was excellent. Ischgl is a 10-minute drive away. The spa was excellent and had everything we needed, plus more. There was also a swimming pool and another spa on the third floor.

The apartment views were breathtaking, and the place was so clean. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. They provided us with an immaculate kitchen and a crib for our baby. We'll definitely come back, and next time I'll bring family and friends.

We arrived in Kappl after hiking all day in the rain, only to discover that the hotel we'd planned to stay at was closed. We ended up at this one for the night, and were so glad we did. They welcomed us warmly and found us a room straight away. In the basement, the staff let us hang our wet gear on the ski boot drying racks. They also helped us figure out the town and suggested places for dinner. Breakfast was excellent as well. A wonderful stay. I'd definitely return if I'm back in town.

Kappl is a pretty town with skiing, a couple of restaurants and a supermarket, and it's much quieter than Ischgl at night. If you want nightlife, getting to Ischgl and back by bus or taxi is easy. For skiing there, we took bus No 260 of 10 each morning from a stop two minutes' walk from our apartment in Dorfstadl, Kappl. It went directly to the ski centre in Ischgl in 10-12 minutes. We hired a locker at the base of the cable car, which saved us the painful walk in ski boots. Our apartment was roomy, clean and well arranged, with generous specs, great bathrooms and gadgets. The restaurant served high quality dinners and breakfast, and the staff were extremely well trained and helpful. The owners' family were around and always smiling. If you're wondering whether this place works for a family ski trip to Ischgl, we found it absolutely perfect.
