The rooms were clean and the views were nice. The location is excellent, and the owner, Gota, was very supportive.

We were very comfortable here and would happily return. The beds were great, the apartment was clean, and the host was friendly. There’s free parking in front and a heated room for ski boots. The only thing we initially missed was an oven, and the microwave doesn’t have an oven setting either. It didn’t bother us in the end, since the place had the other basics, including a coffee maker and toaster. We stayed six nights this season. The center of Kaprun is just a short walk away, as is the ski bus stop, about five minutes on foot. Lines K and 660 make it easy to get to several access points for the Kitzsteinhorn/Maiskogel and Schmitten/Zell am See ski areas.

Parking is available for two cars, and there’s Wi-Fi. Smoking isn’t allowed. The place is clean and comfortable, and it’s close to the ski area. The owner is very conscientious, speaks English well, and knows the local area very well from having worked at a nearby ski school. It also has a 9.3 rating on Booking.com.

We left early and had to find somewhere else to stay. We’d booked because of the positive reviews, but the apartment didn’t match what we found in person. The photos seem heavily edited, and the bed shown in one picture is different. The bathroom is only about 3 square meters. There were likely smokers in the building, and the hallway had a strong smell.
