Hotel Martini

The staff and management were the highlight of my five-night stay. They were professional, very focused on guests, and went out of their way to make me feel welcome. Breakfast had a fabulous range of high-quality options, and the central location near Maiskogel, bus stations, and the city center made it easy to explore on foot. The rooms were warm and cozy, cleaned spotlessly every day, and free parking in such a central spot was a big plus. One small thing I’d suggest for future renovations is replacing the bathroom doors. The current glass looks modern, but more opaque or solid doors would give better privacy. It was a wonderful stay, and I’ll definitely choose this hotel again.

The food was top quality, breakfast was great, and the bar is cool, with service until 8pm and self-service until 11pm. The hotel is well placed, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay overall. The room was dated and lacked basics like a kettle for making hot tea after skiing. Its automatic entrance lighting was terrible and really annoying. The bathroom only closes with a sliding glass door, so there’s little privacy, and water kept dripping from the shower head nonstop. Since the room couldn’t be closed off, that was annoying too. It was noisy, with paper-thin walls, though maybe we were unlucky because our room was next to the staircase, so midday naps were out. The self-service bar is welcome, but too pricey, so we didn’t spend much time there. Maybe that’s intentional so people don’t get wasted on the premises.

I split my three nights between one stay before a hiking trip and two nights afterward. The proprietors and staff were excellent, answering all my questions and making it easy to store my luggage while I was out hiking. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and having a fan for airflow was great. The hotel is very clean and stylish, and the breakfast selection was amazing. I’d highly recommend Hotel Martini and we’ll definitely stay here on my next visit to Kaprun. Vielen Dank!

Six of us stayed here for a seven-day cycling trip. It’s a great family-run hotel on the edge of town, very close to the bike paths and bus route. Can highly recommend it.
