JUFA Hotel Kaprun

The hotel isn't right on the slopes, but the ski bus stops directly outside, so you can step out and get on straight away. The rooms are spacious, well kept, and come with a TV, hairdryer, towels, and a safe. Before and after skiing, there's a substantial buffet. You can relax afterward in the wellness facilities or at the hotel bar. The people running Hotel Jufa are friendly and helpful, and the staff are very attentive, which made for a pleasant stay.

A great choice for a family stay, with enough on offer for both relaxing and active time together. Kids are welcome and don't disturb anyone, and there's plenty to eat, including sweets for the little ones. Adults can unwind at the bar in the evening, and there's also a nice sauna. Parking is ample, and the bus stop is across from the hotel. The location works well for tourists, close to paths to important places and not too far from the center. Staff speak both German and English, and there are some interesting bonus offers too.

The rooms are a little dated, but perfectly adequate. There was a very good range of hot buffet food, and the staff were all lovely and welcoming, ready to help with anything.

The wellness area was our favorite part, with three saunas: a regular one, a steam room, and a far infrared sauna. We went every evening and loved it, and it was included in the stay. The bar was also nice, with lovely staff, lots of games, a ping pong table, a cinema room, and a play area for little ones. We stayed over Christmas 2018 as a family with two parents and two teens, and were very happy with the hotel. Everything was super clean, functional, and quiet. The rooms were cleaned daily, which was really nice. The beds weren't very comfortable, but we slept fairly well. I didn't like the pillows, and with only one each my neck hurt a bit in the mornings, though that might have been from all the skiing. The food wasn't fantastic, but there was something for everyone. Breakfast and dinner buffets came with our half-board stay. As a vegan and vegetarian family, we worried we might go hungry, but there was something for us every day. Breakfast had lots of vegan alternatives, and dinner always had a great salad bar. Vegetarians had plenty of choice, and they also catered for gluten-free and lactose-free guests. I was really impressed. There was even soy milk for my coffee. It's a well-priced hotel in a very convenient spot, with a bus stop right outside. The staff were super friendly.
