Hotel Weisseespitze

We had such a relaxed, pleasant stay, and I was happy with everything. We were there with our 1.5-year-old daughter. The room was clean and tidy with plenty of space, and the hotel has a great kids' menu, a playground and a swimming pool. Breakfast and dinner were both lovely, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. We'd certainly recommend the hotel to our friends.

The quiet setting worked well for us, and the view from our balcony was stunning every day. We were touring by motorbike, and this hotel is ideally placed on the road to the Kaunertal Glacier. It's beautifully presented and spotless throughout, with standards that fully earn its four-star rating. The spa is extensive and first class, and both breakfast and dinner offered excellent choices. Nothing to complain about.

There's a lot to like here for biking. The hotel sits about five miles along a stretch of curvy tarmac that's a nice warm-up before the passes. Bikes have a purpose-built garage, plus washing equipment and tools for light servicing. When I wrote this, it was also a bmw trial centre, with late-model bmw bikes available to hire at very reasonable rates. I was also impressed by how accessible the building is. I'm not disabled, but the sliding doors, wide showers and toilets, and easy wheelchair access stood out. I've never seen another place with what looks like an emergency exit ramp serving every floor, as well as lifts and stairs. The atmosphere hits a good balance between relaxed and high quality. Lots of guests are bikers, dressed in riding gear or shorts and flip-flops, and there was no dress code issue. The staff were efficient, friendly and helpful to everyone. I enjoyed the food too. It's one of the cleanest, friendliest and most thoughtfully built places I've stayed. Please don't book it, I want a room next time I pass through.

The staff were the best, and the service team were great, with several languages between them. The hotel is lovely, with several dining rooms, a big bar and lounge with a pool table, and a heated infinity pool. There's also a heated indoor lounger area, plus a downstairs adults-only section with saunas and more. It's in an incredibly beautiful mountain valley, around 20 kilometers from the glacier, and the drive up is astonishing. There are lifts that take you higher, where people were skiing and snowboarding. Breakfast is a fantastic buffet, lunch is light, and dinner is the daily offering. I couldn't recommend it more.
