Kroneck

We stayed across the street from the hotel in Alpenlodge, which apparently belongs with it, and breakfast is served at Hotel Kroneck. The buffet there was huge and had everything we wanted.

The food was outstanding, whether it was served at dinner or laid out buffet-style. The quality and variety were easily up there with the best hotels I’ve stayed at around the world. We had a fantastic stay from start to finish. I’d read earlier comments about old furnishings and an unprofessional reception, but the service I experienced was remarkably professional, even at full capacity. When we arrived late after a long journey and the kitchen had closed, the staff kindly offered us a cold meal. My room was quiet and comfortable, and the wellness area had plenty of room to unwind. For skiing, the location is perfect, with both Skiwelt and Kitzski bus stops a short walk away. There was nothing I could fault, and I’d gladly return.

Really good value for money, with wonderful sauna facilities. The chefs’ skill is hard to convey in photos, and I never had a bad meal there.

We stayed for a week and had a great time. There was a baby bed set up in our spacious enough room when we arrived, and the baby phone reached as far as the bar area. We enjoyed using the spa a few times, especially the pool while it was cold outside. The food was great, though on a few evenings there wasn’t a good choice for the pregnant woman in our group. The staff sorted something out, so it worked out fine.
