HENRI Hotel Kitzbühel

The train is right nearby, so getting to the skiing was easy. We loved the relaxed atmosphere, and the place manages to feel chic and comfortable at once. Our room and the shared areas were so comfortable, and we enjoyed both breakfast and dinner from the in-house kitchen. The staff were absolutely wonderful and made our stay special. The staff were warm and friendly, and we enjoyed the sufficient, tasty breakfast as well as the afternoon snacks. The sauna and steam room were clean and well maintained. There's indoor and outdoor parking, and the hotel sits right in front of the train station and bus stop, though we didn't use public transport. We chose a larger room and were generally very satisfied. The bed was comfortable, and the kettle and espresso machine were nice touches, but the minibar was smaller than standard. I also didn't like that there was no safe. In a ski hotel, there should be somewhere to store valuables like watches or jewelry. Bathroom supplies were limited. There were separate shampoo bottles labeled for men and women, but the liquid was the same, and the only product was an all-in-one for hair, body, face and hands. Cotton swabs, shower caps and body lotion were missing. I was especially disappointed about the lotion. At least the hairdryer was good 🙂 The hotel is a bit outside the city center and not very convenient to reach on foot. At night the road gets quite dark, and we didn't see anyone else walking, so it didn't feel very comfortable.

Hotel Henry keeps things simple and does the essentials well. The clean, contemporary design has warm wood and soft lighting that nod to Alpine tradition without going kitschy. The rooms are very well maintained, with crisp, comfortable beds and spotless bathrooms. Everything feels deliberate, and it's easy to relax because nothing competes for your attention. Breakfast stood out: fresh bread, excellent coffee, local cheeses and a sensible amount of choice. It felt carefully put together, special without becoming buffet chaos. The staff were polished but approachable, and genuinely warm rather than scripted, especially the lovely Susan. Hotel Henry is close to Kitzbühel's center by local train, while still feeling calm at the end of the day. I gave it four stars because it doesn't aim for grandeur. That's a design choice, not a flaw, but there isn't a dramatic spa or lavish flourish. It's tasteful, efficient and quietly elegant, a good fit for travelers who value comfort, order and understated charm.

After our long journey, the warm welcome made us feel looked after straight away. The hotel and room were cozy and charming, and the balcony view over the river was breathtaking. Hearing the water flow was so relaxing. Breakfast was excellent, and we were pleasantly surprised by the light evening snacks. We enjoyed it so much that we honestly didn't want to leave.
