The location is handy for hiking trails and shopping, and the house itself has a quaint feel. Cleanliness, though, needs real improvement. There were cobwebs throughout, torn and dirty wallpaper in places, and the living room carpet was dirty enough that slippers felt essential. The bathrooms and pantry had mold marks. Kitchen cupboards were dusty, and the plates and glasses felt sticky. The towels and bed linen provided smelled musty, so bringing your own towels is highly advisable. There were urine stains on the mattress as well. Communication about the rental could be better.

There’s a supermarket just around the corner, and the cabin has lots of room for a family holiday with kids. Charming and cozy.

The garden is lovely and the living room is spacious. The decor has an old-fashioned feel.
