Hotel Pension Central

This place is a little café, not a hotel or guesthouse. I’m not sure why it asks about rooms. There’s no parking on site. The only option is across the road at the Spar supermarket, where parking isn’t actually allowed.

The meals were generous and clearly made with care, with options for vegans and vegetarians, and Rainer was friendly, easy to talk to, and accommodating. But the rooms were a different story during our six-night school trip. My classmates and I found old, perpetually stained carpets that made us avoid walking barefoot. The supposedly fresh sheets had sticky, unidentifiable stuff on them, and even some rubbish, so we had to go out and buy replacements. The bathroom smelled so awful we couldn’t bear it, and we ended up buying lots of air freshener too. The rooms didn’t feel comfortable at all. Still, with the right people along, the trip was fine.

The food was sensational, and the guesthouse was furnished with real care. I was there with a group of students, and the owner was always around and attentive to how we were doing. We felt welcome and comfortable from the very beginning. Thanks so much to Rainer and his family for a lovely week. We’d happily return.

We had a great holiday at Pension Central with our large tour group. Rainer looked after everything, and whenever something came up, it was dealt with straight away. Our hosts did all they could to make the stay pleasant. We’d recommend Pension Central. Thanks for a wonderful time!
