Falkner Appartement Resort

For a group of five, this was a good, wallet-friendly option. The kitchen has everything we needed. The sauna is on the small side, though it’s nice to have one. Really nice stay.

I had several problems during my stay, and the place also didn’t live up to the pictures or prices. Staff were rude on more than one occasion. After I dropped my towel in the water in the shower and it got wet and dirty, I asked the lady I believe was the owner for a fresh one. She refused and spoke to me rudely. They also wouldn’t put a mattress in the room. The spa area is constantly flooded, with dirty water everywhere, and it’s very unclean. I don’t know how often they clean it, or whether they’ve cleaned it at all. There are no towels in the spa, so you have to use the one towel each guest gets at the start of the stay, or bring swim shorts, which seems contrary to the Austrian way. The hotel, spa, and pool are open to people from outside, with nothing stopping anyone from walking in. This place was dreadful, and I hope this review puts people off booking. Thanks.

It was cosy and good value, and everything matched the website description. We enjoyed the stay, apart from the pillows. They’re only about 5 mm thick and useless, so they need replacing.

We never made it to Längenfeld because the roads were flooded, so I can’t comment on the resort itself. We called to explain and were told someone would email to confirm we hadn’t chosen to cancel. We’re still waiting, and the guarantee payment wasn’t returned. We had to find somewhere else at the last minute. Our stay was supposed to be last week, and we still haven’t heard from them. Booking also tried calling about the situation, but they aren’t answering those calls either. Not professional, and I wouldn’t recommend them.
