Pension Michaela

The hosts made us feel like valued regulars right from arrival, even though it was our first visit. They were attentive, personable, and efficient, and the easygoing banter with the proprietors alone would bring us back. Breakfast was epic: the scrambled eggs with bacon, peppers, and chanterelles were so good we asked for more. The rest was a usual continental selection, with proper coffee and a clear focus on local sourcing. Apartment 2 felt freshly renovated and worked really well for a longer stay. The kitchen was brand new and finished to a high standard, with a designer steam oven, Nespresso machine, electric kettle, plenty of cookware, and solid wood furniture. It had all the modern comforts: a steady shower, comfortable mattress that wasn't too hard, reliable WiFi, sockets by the bed, and no noise intrusion. Sleep quality was very high. The curtains are thin, so bring an eye mask if you usually use one. The large balcony has an unobstructed mountain view, exactly what you come to Lech for. This is officially a B&B/pension, but the accommodation and hospitality would put any four-star hotel to shame. Skyspace is about a 15-minute walk along the marked path from here, and the hotel is an easy, well-signposted straight run from the cable car station.

We felt at home here and would happily come back. As a family with young children, we had a wonderful stay at Pension Michaela. The hosts were very friendly and attentive, looked after us so warmly, and gave us great tips for outings. Nothing was missing. The rooms were cozy and very, very clean, and breakfast was delicious with lots of choice.
