There’s an old-fashioned Austrian feel to the place, and the hospitality is great. The staff are very friendly. The apartment building could use some maintenance, though the rooms are clean and cosy. The Zugspitze view is wonderful.

The view from the private balcony was incredible, and the room in the apartment building was a good size and really clean. The location is very close to a Tesla Supercharger, and the service was perfect. There was quite a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the room, which is why I gave it 4 stars.

We chose the Silence-Sporthotel Zugspitze at random after stopping in Lermoos to charge our electric car and stay the night. We were just passing through, and the service turned out to be beyond expectations. On arrival, we were welcomed and shown to a large, lovely room. They brought us the menu and let us know our dog could join us in the restaurant. The food was lovely: a buffet starter, good soup, and perfectly cooked lamb. The waiters gave exceptional service. Amazing. Silence-Sporthotel Zugspitze shows how it can and should be done. I recommend it.

The view is beautiful and the prices are very fair. We loved how charming the hotel is, the wonderful people, and the great food. It was such a relaxing place that we cut short our holiday in the Salzkammergut-region just to come back for a couple of days.

There’s plenty to do beyond winter sports, with a spa and sauna, table tennis, a pool table, and a fitness room. Meals and drinks at the bar came with really lovely service, and housekeeping did such a thorough job I couldn’t find a missed spot in my room. I’d give the stay an 8.5/10. The hotel feels cozy and simple, though a few things are a little dated. Wi-Fi was fine for browsing, but I wouldn’t count on watching YouTube or movies during busy hours.
