If you want some peace and quiet, this is a great spot. There are lots of nearby peaks, and you’re more likely to run into a cow than another person. The trails closer to Italy are busier.

Breakfast was full of variety, with lots of fresh local and homemade things, and the room was clean and had everything we needed. It was a good size too, with a sitting area, a small fridge, and a south-facing balcony with a fantastic view. We stayed for a week in summer and felt right at home. The hosts were warm and helpful. Well worth it, and we’d happily recommend this guesthouse. Thanks for a wonderful week!

We found the accommodation quiet and relaxing. Ms. Ortner is such a welcoming, exceptionally kind host, and she always has useful suggestions for hikes and local events.

After a seven-hour drive with detours, we were told there was no room for us, and then faced another eight hours to get home. She seemed to have forgotten our booking. When we showed the confirmation, she said we hadn’t reserved, then objected that we had two dogs, saying she’d never approved that and had no rooms available. The whole exchange was extremely unfriendly and unpleasant. We had to turn around and go home. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. Never again.
