I spent a lot of time on the terrace and really liked the location and mountain views. I didn’t have a car, so the bus to Mittenwald can get expensive. Make sure the owner gives you a discount card. The owner also collects a tax in cash, maybe for the bus card, but I’m not sure. He rents out bikes too. The pool was more like a fish pond, but it was still a great experience. I had a close call with the main bedroom door: it slammed shut, and the handle fell off inside the now-locked room.

The apartment we got was on the first floor, with a tiny terrace just one meter from the neighbor's terrace. There were no thoughtful touches inside, and the photos were misleading. The "pool" shown in the pictures was in a very small, poorly maintained area full of hoses. We booked after seeing the apartment photos and thinking it looked like a good place. Overall, the quality didn’t match the price. I’ve stayed in cheaper places that were better. Bad experience.

The cross-country ski loipes are right outside, and the apartments are lovely. Phone signal and Internet aren’t great if you need them, but it’s nice if you want to get away and switch off.
