The hotel offers good value, with a pleasant hostess and a good breakfast buffet. We spent two nights here and really enjoyed the very quiet setting, with lovely countryside and great hiking all around. We'd love to come back.

Breakfast was phenomenal, and the carp and schnitzel were excellent. We were also so glad that pets were made welcome. If you're after somewhere peaceful, this is a great fit. We stayed at Sonnenhof for a week. The owner was wonderfully welcoming and helpful, and our clean room was tidied every day. The downsides were that the dishes weren't replenished and the rooms are very noisy, which is why we're giving four stars.

The Kainz family's reunion on July 1, 2023 brought us to Hotel Sonnenhof in Saaß, the family's former childhood home. We had a wonderful stay, with excellent food and drinks, attentive care, and a breakfast that left nothing wanting. The view of the pond and all the surrounding nature are incredibly beautiful. It was comforting to see how lovingly the family looks after Sonnenhof. Many of the beautiful furnishings are still as they were originally made by Gerhard Kainz, with such care and quality. Thank you. 💗
