Apartments Landhaus Sonnheim

Lofer is a charming village, with several nice restaurants and a bakery and butcher/deli just a two-minute walk away. We also drove about fifteen minutes to Waidring and the beautiful Steinplatte ski area, which we highly recommend. The gondola at the Loferer Alm ski area's valley station is only a few steps from the apartment. We spent a week there in early 2026 for winter sports and stayed in Haus Sonnheim, one of the Landhaus apartments. It was very spacious, with three bedrooms, a large living room, a fully equipped kitchen and a modern bathroom. There’s a roomy ski storage area with boot warmers, too. The Dutch owners were quick and helpful whenever we had questions. We really enjoyed the stay and will definitely return.

We are speechless at how stubborn this has been. Our cancellation through Booking.com was made in error, but we still haven't got our money back. We had already paid in full, so we could have still gone on the trip if the owner had reversed the cancellation, but they refused. We also asked if they could make a goodwill gesture, and that was turned down without any willingness to compromise. Why are guests treated this way? Where is the willingness to meet us halfway?

The garden was a lovely place to unwind, with a barbecue, trampoline and hammocks, though we were happy relaxing on our balcony instead. Everything was very well kept. We booked Apartment Edelweiss for five days and found it spotless, fully furnished and comfortable, with a wraparound balcony facing south and very comfortable beds. We felt welcome, our dog included, and the guest service was excellent. There are lovely walks starting right from the apartment, and the area is friendly with everything close by on foot. With a guest card, you can use the lift around the corner once a day in summer. The swimming pool is practically at the doorstep and free to use. We highly recommend it!

The beds were amazing. I haven't slept this well in weeks. The apartment was clean and tidy, spacious, and in a great spot right in the city center. Everything is nearby, yet it still feels peaceful, with nature close at hand.
