The food was excellent and came out quickly once we finally managed to order. The difficulty was that we arrived at 19:30, which turned out to be a mistake. Like many places in Lofer, they have two sittings, with tables available until 19:30 or from 19:30. At the later sitting there was a huge rush of tables and the staff were overwhelmed. Getting more drinks and paying took a while too, as they were busy clearing and presumably setting up for breakfast. A one-course meal ended up taking nearly two hours.

We loved the Goulash soup and Kaiserschmarrn, and both the food and service were great. The restaurant’s outdoor area is in a beautiful setting. Their cat was adorable, jumped onto my partner’s lap, and stayed there throughout our meal. A wonderful place to dine.

A wonderful hotel for a ski holiday, with a cosy room and breakfast included. The staff are friendly, and they have a hotel cat too!

We only ate at the restaurant, though I’d be glad to stay at the hotel if my usual accommodation is full. It’s a superb traditional Austrian place, kept immaculately clean. The staff were attentive, polite, professional, and friendly. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. I can’t give the restaurant and its staff enough credit.

Lofer is a diamond among the mountains. The hotel is well located, with kind rooms, delicious food, and good service. Across the road is Lofer’s public beach, which tourists can enter for free. There’s a swimming pool there, recommended mainly for children. From our room, I could hear the children shouting all day. It wasn’t a problem for me, but anyone wanting a quiet room should know there’s no direct mountain view, and the street side is better. The room cleaning was acceptable, though not perfect.
