The kids' room was messy and not very clean, and the hotel generally looks old. The carpets are very old too, and the radiators in the rooms make it hard to adjust the temperature. The food is fine, but the restaurant and buffet areas look tired as well. It's okay for a couple of nights, but badly needs refurbishment. Free bike rental is great, including bikes for kids. The wellness area is nice, though only children over 15 are allowed. Everything is in German, so you'll struggle if, like us, you don't speak any.

It's a quiet location with spacious rooms, good breakfasts, modern facilities and friendly, competent staff. There's direct access to the thermal pool complex, so the weather doesn't matter. The place is very nice, but not a bargain. It is quite expensive. Austria isn't a cheap destination, but for a hotel calling itself a Thermenhotel, I'd expect thermal pool access to be included in the room price. The limited a la carte selection at the hotel restaurant is also a problem.

They didn't mention at booking that children couldn't use the hotel pool. We went 200 additional km out of our way to get here, paid more, and then couldn't use the hotel facilities. A really bad customer experience.

A nice place to stay, with modern, healthy food and a connection to a great spa. It also has one of Europe's largest water slide parks!
