I stay here whenever work takes me to Burgenland. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and there’s plenty of parking at the hotel. The restaurant downstairs does good pizza, steak, and hamburgers.

The menu is interesting for a regular Burgenland restaurant or wirtshaus. The staff are very friendly and open to special requests. The fish seemed fine, as did my pork cordon blue, which was a reasonable size, on the smaller side rather than overly large. The steaks seemed cooked as ordered, the kids liked the pizza, and the risotto and pasta portions are generous.

It was great to finally enjoy a super cold beer and a giant burger with chips after the long covid break. Friendly staff brought it out to the relaxed outdoor seating area. I’d stop by again if I’m nearby, especially for the pizzas, which looked very nice.

The food was better than I expected, and the staff were very friendly. I’d strongly suggest reserving at least a day ahead.

We arrived thinking it looked lovely, placed an order, then waited 10-15 minutes before being told the kitchen was closed. The way we were told was quite rude. They wouldn’t even serve us drinks and blamed us without offering any solution. Really disgusting behaviour. What a shame, we thought we’d found a nice place.
