Moser's Hotel

I wouldn’t recommend this place, regardless of how cheap or nice it might seem. I personally experienced what I felt was racism from the owner, and his rudeness was hard to overlook. The staff may be nice, but it didn’t make up for it. He asked for cash, so my husband had to go out and get some, and then he charged us too much. We left and found a much better hotel nearby with nice people. It’s sad that racism still exists. If this is how he represents his country, I couldn’t recommend his place to anyone. It felt like tourists came last.

The food was a highlight: the dinner choices were limited, but everything seemed freshly made and tasted very good. Breakfast was enough for this category, though the buffet could have been topped up more often. We couldn’t book half-board because it wasn’t available this summer. We had a large double room with a bathtub and shared balcony, suitable for a hiking holiday and reasonably priced, though nothing luxurious. The rooms could have been cleaned more thoroughly. Maurach is fairly central, but it doesn’t have great access to the lake; Pertisau is the place to go for that. We stayed twelve nights and spontaneously added one more without any problem. All in all, a lovely holiday.

We were completely satisfied after our four-day break at Mosers. The newly renovated room had a great bathroom, a comfortable bed and a balcony with a lovely view. It was spotlessly clean every day. Breakfast was delicious, with everything we needed, and sustainable without the waste you often see. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The sauna and pool are still listed on the website, but can’t be used anymore. The bar was closed too, which was a pity. The room had an odd musty smell at first, though opening the windows for a day cleared it. It was very clean, with good beds, but the wardrobe was small and the shower and toilet were tiny. The old Tyrolean style has a bit of charm. We stayed three nights with breakfast for €500.00 for two people, plus tourist tax. Breakfast was good, though we missed having cloth napkins. Fine for a stopover.
