Mrs. Rosi is a wonderful host. Thank you for the delicious apfelstrudel! The place is quiet and secluded, with very clean bedding and towels that smelled fresh. The bathrooms have been renovated and there’s a new sauna. By car, it’s five minutes to the Grosseck ski resort and 15 minutes to Obertauern. The ski bus stop is 400 metres from the apartment.

Rosi is a lovely hostess and happy to share all the information you need. The house is clean, well kept and fully equipped, set at the village edge with a great view of the snow-covered fields. Everything was well looked after from arrival to departure, and the service was excellent. We enjoyed the tasty bread and fresh eggs from the farm's own chickens. Hopefully our Dutch Oliebollen didn't put too much egg-laying stress on the five hens, though they started laying again afterward. There’s everything you need in the village, and eating at the Brunnerwirt is highly recommended. Five ski areas are easy to reach, but skiing on the local mountain is fun too, so you don’t have to go farther afield. We visit this area often and prefer staying in Mauterndorf to Obertauern: the accommodations are nicer, the village feels authentic, and it’s more central for the ski areas. This was our first stay at Rosi’s and we’d definitely repeat it. We’re here for the winter holidays, and we’ll keep this address in mind for when we cycle in Austria again in summer.

We had a relaxing few days with the Holzer family and felt very comfortable in their lovingly furnished, well-maintained holiday apartment. We’ll definitely return and highly recommend it.

Mrs. Rosi Holzer really goes out of her way to make guests comfortable. After skiing, there was even a freshly baked apple strudel waiting for us. We had a wonderful holiday in the spacious, very clean apartment at the edge of the village, with a beautiful view and nice ski areas nearby.
