Gästehaus Elisabeth

The bus stop is just 50 meters away, and Guesthouse Elisabet is only a few minutes’ drive from the Horbergbahn ski resort. The property feels welcoming and warm, with private parking and a storage room for skis, snowboards, and boots. I stayed with a friend. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a private bathroom, satellite TV, and a balcony. Breakfast was generous, served from 7:30 a.m., and had both sweet and savory choices.

The family were friendly and helpful, and the room was okay and clean. It’s a basic hotel. Breakfast was small compared with other hotels, and there was no hand soap in the bathroom. The ski bus stop is two minutes away, though the bus only runs until 5 pm.

The Kröll family were lovely, even lending us a sewing kit when we needed to fix a pair of trousers. We stayed for a week at the end of March and were also glad they let us move our Tiscover booking by a week. Haus Elisabeth is well placed in the Zillertal. The Horberg cable car is close, and there’s a ski bus stop right by the house. By car, Kaltenbach, Zillertal Arena with Gerlos and Königsleiten, and the Hintertux Glacier are about 10 to 25 minutes away. Our room was clean and perfectly fine for the price, though not especially modern. We were very satisfied.

Breakfast, towels, and bed linen were all included, so the price felt like great value. We spent a week in a single room in a cozy, quiet house in Hollenzen. There are two ski bus stops nearby. The last bus to Mayrhofen leaves at 5:20 PM, and in the evening Mayrhofen is a 7-minute drive or about a 20-minute walk away.
