We based our choice on the hotel's high rating, but the owner charged us a fine for what felt like an unfair reason. As tourists, we didn't want to get into an argument, and it ended up costing us a lot. A really unpleasant stay. I had a terrible experience and would avoid this hotel.

The apartment was clean and had everything we needed, and it's in a great spot for food and apres ski. Penkenbalm lift is right nearby. My only request would be a bigger kettle! I'd definitely stay again.

The rooms have great views, as you'd expect in Mayrhofen. The place is nicely presented and set back from the main street, so it's peaceful, but town is only a very short walk away.

The location is very good, but the price doesn't feel justified. We stayed in apartment no. 2 (Astegg), which is quite dated and barely has any kitchen utensils. Hot water took two minutes to come through, and apparently the heating is only switched on for a few hours to save money. Getting into the shower over the high bathtub felt dangerous and uncomfortable. Parking was a big problem too. To avoid parking on the street, you have to leave the car right under a very low balcony. There seems to be room for only three cars, even though four are meant to park there.
