Great apartment on a quiet street, about a 10-minute walk to penkenbahn.

We've been coming back since 2016 to this lovely place that feels like coming home, thanks to the welcoming and helpful Franziska Kröll. There's always a super welcome, with something tasty for everyone in the fridge or on the table. It's on the north edge of Mayrhofen, away from the tourist crowds but still only a 10-minute walk to the center. Each apartment has parking for one car. The apartments are spacious, around 90 m², and clean. They're not very modern, but have most of what you need. The beds are wonderful, with firm mattresses. The ground-floor apartment has a wooden bench outside for mornings or afternoons, plus a sturdy staircase down from the living room to the side garden. The equally large apartment on the second floor has a balcony on three sides. Both have two bedrooms, a living room with a sofa bed, a kitchen, a separate toilet, and a bathroom with a bath and a second shower, plus a bidet. The ground-floor living room also has a tiled stove. Billa supermarket is four minutes away on foot, and Bakery Bacher takes nine minutes. The neighboring Hotel Pramstaller has a restaurant with a very beautiful terrace garden, but you need a reservation. Hotels Berghof and Rose have live music nights. Brückenstadl across the village is highly recommended, a 15-minute walk away. You can also ask about activities at the Waldfestplatz, 10 minutes away.

We had a lovely stay in a large holiday home with a well-equipped kitchen. The homeowner was nice. The one drawback was the master bedroom bed, which creaked whenever anyone moved and disturbed the others.
