Sonnenheim

The owners were very friendly and welcoming, as were the townspeople in general. I really enjoyed my stay at Haus Sonnenheim. The rooms are laid out well, and the beds are comfortable. It’s close to the town center and about a 10-minute walk from the Penkenbahn. I’d definitely stay here again when I return to Mayrhofen. :)

Basic, warm, and comfortable apartment, just outside the main strip. The bus stop is a one-minute walk away, and the train station takes five minutes to reach.

There’s plenty of storage, lots of electrical outlets, a safe, and even a shed for bicycles. Each family member gets a Wi-Fi login code, and the TV has an HDMI input for connecting a laptop to watch movies. The apartment is neat and well maintained, with wonderful beds, though the shower is a little small and the wooden floors make it somewhat noisy. You’re right in the center of Mayrhofen, close to everything, with a small supermarket half a block away that opens on Sunday mornings. You can’t hear the bandstand at Hotel Berghof from inside, and you can eat there for a reasonable price. There’s a playground for children too.

The owners were unfriendly, and there was no heating during our two-week vacation. We weren't entitled to the Zillertaler card, which gives discounts on admission, and the apartment was missing kitchen utensils. The owner seemed to have just one thing on their mind: money, money...
