Madar Café Central Melk

We were starving after not eating all day, so I asked the waitress whether the pizza was homemade. She said it was, but what arrived was a burnt, disgusting mess. A total disaster. How can anyone serve that? Avoid it like the plague.

The iced coffee was good, but the cappuccino was only half a small cup, so it felt like poor value. It was cash only, and the waitress seemed impatient when we had only a card. Odd to have no other payment option in 2025. The ATM down the road was confusing too, since you have to put your card in a slot to enter its booth. We got it sorted in the end, but I’d go to a café that takes cards instead.

Prices are pretty steep, and they only take cash. Service was disappointing too. The waitress was quite unkind and could use some customer service training.

The two goulache soup dishes we ordered weren’t even alike, either in taste or portion, and neither was especially good. We were also given bread, which we assumed came with the meal, then charged for it at a price higher than the soup. When we pointed out that the waitress should have mentioned the extra charge, she didn’t seem to care. The service was rude, unpleasant, and impatient. Highly unrecommended.
