Gästehaus " Lehbach "

We booked last year specifically because the mountain railway tickets were included, but on arrival we were told they weren't included this year. Our room wasn't ready either. Ms. Lehbach can come across like a drill sergeant: at breakfast we were told how quickly to chew, phones had to be cleared from the table, and putting something back in the wrong place brought a dressing-down. That tone was completely unacceptable, and we felt watched all the time. The place is very dated, which on its own wouldn't necessarily bother us, but the rooms should at least be clean. The website listed €28 including breakfast and mountain railway, yet we paid €35 without the mountain railway. We definitely won't return.

The hosts were genuinely lovely, and Mrs. Lehbach took great care of us. It's peaceful, with simple but perfectly adequate amenities. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and breakfast good, all at an unbeatable price.

Breakfast was excellent, with a good variety each morning. The older couple who run this charming, rustic guesthouse were incredibly friendly and helpful, and I felt very comfortable there. Highly recommended.

That Kleinwalsertal card is included, and the location is lovely. For a mountaineer like me, the value for money is hard to beat, especially with breakfast included. The owners have plenty of character, which I really enjoy. The place isn't all brand new, but that's about the only thing I could fault. I'll be back!
