Gästehaus Strasser

Each morning, warm fresh rolls were waiting outside our door, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We stayed in apartment 1, which had a terrace and modern alpine furnishings; the shared areas were done in the same style. The guesthouse sits at the end of a cul-de-sac, with walks in both directions: past the horse stable and over the suspension bridge to Riezlern, or by the goats to the natural bridge and waterfalls on the Schwarzwasserbach. Mrs. Strasser was always smiling and so kind. It was our first stay at Gästehaus Strasser, and we were more than happy with it. We'd definitely come back.

The apartment felt quite impersonal and purely practical. I didn't find the kitchen welcoming for cooking, and the sofa wasn't comfortable for relaxing. It's a pity, since the common room is lovely. Just a thought. The location is great, the bread delivery is excellent, and the staff are friendly.

We couldn't really stretch out in the apartment, and the two-seat sofa felt wobbly. The Wi-Fi was terrible, and the TVs seemed tiny, maybe 24 inches. The rooms are a little dated, too. Our apartment door had a gap of only 1 cm but rattled constantly. The people are very nice, and the location and bread roll service were great. We'll stay somewhere else next time.

The place is peaceful, right at the end of the street, with a lovely view of the Ifen mountain. The cross-country ski trail runs just behind the house. We really like these holiday apartments and will definitely return.
