The service staff and management were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the room price felt very good for what was included. It covers the many mountain lifts, so the Kleinwalsertal lifts are free to use, along with the mobile Walserbus throughout Kleinwalsertal. You can leave the car behind, and a guest card with access to a benefits program is included too. We spent two nights in room No. 3 on the first floor and would gladly return. It was a nice-sized room, very clean and in excellent condition, with a great bathroom and toilet, plus a balcony with seating and a view of the main street. The guesthouse is centrally located in Mittelberg, next to the church and bus stop, and very close to the Walmendingerhorn cable car. Breakfast was plentiful and excellent, as expected. Coffee is served, and you can ask for an egg or an egg dish. Bikes can be stored securely in the lockable ground-floor garage, which has an outlet for charging an e-bike. There is no elevator. We highly recommend staying at Gästehaus WidderStein when visiting the Kleinwalsertal high mountain valley. You'll feel at home there. Johann Wilhelmstätter, July 3, 2025

It's quiet and well maintained, with modern rooms and very clean throughout. The guesthouse sits in a prime spot at the end of the Kleinwalsertal valley, close to the cable car, chairlift, bus stop and supermarket. Breakfast is excellent, and there's a terrace where you can sit outside. If you're self-catering, there's a refrigerator and dishes available. Parking is right at the guesthouse. Highly recommended.

The team were friendly and attentive, and everything was excellent. Our room, bathroom and balcony were attractively and practically furnished, and spotless. The beds were very comfortable. The Walser breakfast was just right, with muesli, different juices and fruit. A guest refrigerator and dishes were available, too. We're looking forward to coming back.

The rooms are really comfortable, and everything is kept very clean. We’ve been staying at the Widderstein Guesthouse for several years and always feel welcome and at home. The location suits us perfectly, and the landlady and staff are so friendly. Already looking forward to coming back.
