I’ve visited Austria several times in recent years, and this address is number 1 for me. I’d gladly come back. I stayed at the 'Alpenpeter' last week because I wanted somewhere central for reaching the nearby ski areas, and it worked perfectly. Gerlos, Saalbach or Westendorf, they were all easy to drive to from here. From the first minute, I felt I’d landed in a good place. The welcome was warm and the room was just right for starting the holiday. It was very clean, with a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. Parking is right in front of the hotel. Oli and Jutta are wonderful hosts. They make you feel at home straight away, and in the morning they’ll chat and show real interest in what you’ve been doing and experiencing. Breakfast was very good, with different breads, scrambled eggs and bacon, several cheeses and ham, fresh fruit, yogurt, local jam and honey, orange juice, coffee, tea, vitamin drinks, and water with lemon and mint. I could keep listing things. Nothing was missing.

It’s small, but really cozy. The place is new, clean, and tidied every day, and the breakfast is great for a pension. The owners are lovely and always willing to help or offer advice. Nothing seems to be a problem. The ski area is about 10 minutes away by car, and there’s also a shuttle. It’s a 10-minute walk to the center. Great value for money.

Oli and Jutta made the hotel feel like home, with so many thoughtful little details. This is my sixth time in Austria, and it’s my favorite hotel so far. I wish we could have stayed longer. If you like small, family-run hotels, you’ll probably love this one. Just remember to book the sauna ahead if you want to use it, or you may miss the chance. Definitely recommend it ❤️

We only stayed two nights, but I could easily have spent many more there. The hosts were so friendly and gave us useful tips that helped us make the most of our time. Breakfast was generous and fresh.
