Hotel Alpenrose Mühlbach am Hochkönig

The free ski bus stops right next to the hotel, which is very convenient. Breakfast had an extensive selection, and the food was excellent at every meal. The rooms are pretty decent, though the two-person bedroom isn't very big. I'll definitely return in the future.

We booked half board and were pleased with the good products at breakfast and dinner. All the dishes were very well prepared, and the hotel facilities are excellent and cute. Maria, her husband, and the whole staff were kind and helpful throughout our stay.

The friendly, attentive service made our trip worthwhile. After we returned from the hike, we were warmly welcomed, checked in easily, and told when to expect dinner. You can tell they work with passion. We stayed one night before our three-day hiking trip and two nights after. The hotel has a classic, nice look, and the restaurant has been newly refurbished. The hostess speaks English really well, which was convenient since our German and Austrian were nonexistent. We booked breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was complete, with lots to choose from, from bread to dairy products, and dinner was good too. The rooms were nice and really spacious, with firm beds, and they were clean. The bathrooms were a bit outdated, but that didn't bother us. They were clean and worked fine. I'd highly recommend this hotel, and I think we'd come back if we return to Hochkonig.

We stayed two nights, at the beginning and end of our trek. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help with a few last-minute arrangements. The kitchen was good, and breakfast had a varied buffet. I'd certainly recommend them.
