We stayed three nights while in Austria for a wedding, and it was a pleasant surprise how modern and nice the place was inside. The hotel interior looked very good, and the food was very good too. The room got quite warm and could have used a fan. It's close to the venue at Schloss Altenhof, and the people running it were great. The owners have been there since 1950. Just note that they're closed from 2 to 5 pm if you're hoping to get food or a drink then. No complaints.

We ended up here by mistake, since it wasn't meant to be on our route 🙃, but what a surprise. It's a family-run place with very helpful, friendly people, cozy rooms, and very good service. The meal was a real surprise, from the local ingredients to the presentation and the taste. We enjoyed dinner, though I didn't take pictures. The landscape is beautiful too. Highly recommended!

Good food and a pleasant atmosphere in a nice, quiet town. For anyone traveling with kids of any age, there's an indoor playground!
