We were a family of five and found this a great base for a summer holiday. There are enough sights within a 15-45 minute drive to keep you busy for two weeks. The view is lovely, the rooms are clean and roomy, and I especially liked the beautiful wooden furniture. It felt like a real home, not an IKEA showroom. The building is a large traditional house with three apartments, a shared garden, and a playground. Everything is self-service, as the host doesn't live there, but he's easy to reach and speaks perfect English. The Fun Card comes with the apartment and gives 10% off some entrance fees, cable car tickets, and the Zell am See boat trip. For stays of six days or more, the regional Salzburg Card may be worth considering. We were a little concerned about the nearby road because we're used to living somewhere quiet. There was barely noticeable noise in the garden during the day, and almost no traffic after 7-8 PM. The windows are very good, and we didn't have any noise problems. I'd say it's a perfect place for a getaway.
