We first stayed here in 2019, then came back during AirPower this year and were glad to find rooms at reasonable rates while other places were charging exorbitant prices. The rooms were clean and cozy, and the whole hut has a charming, nostalgic feel. There's no fuss or hustle, just a peaceful mountain hut around 1400 meters. We had such pleasant, entertaining evenings in the rustic common room with the other guests and the hostess. Thank you so much! Mrs. Sauer's cooking deserves a special mention: she made us a different menu each evening on request, and it was absolutely delicious. We also loved Mrs. Sauer's humor and genuine personality. We'd love to come back again!!!

We were a hiking group, not overnight guests, and every year we wonder whether it's worth walking up to the Judenburgerhütte because the service isn't great. As far as I know, the owner served us, but she seemed to have left her friendliness back in the valley. If you want more hikers to stop at the hut, a friendly face, friendly service, and well-kept lunchtime tables would help, especially on a perfect hiking day. We would have spent a lot more if those conditions had been met. Best regards, maybe we'll see you again in summer 2015!

The route to Judenburg is clearly signposted, but that's the one good thing. Once you arrive, you feel the trip could have been spared. The place seems to have been dead for years, and all the reviews are ancient.

The cooking is excellent, proper home-style food. The cabin has a quaint feel and sits in a beautiful spot. It's a bit dated, but everything is clean and working well.

Lovely scenery, and a great spot for hiking or simply relaxing. The restaurant is quaint, the food is great, and the people and staff are friendly. I'll definitely be back soon. 😃
