The apartment was compact, but clean, cozy, and equipped for making simple meals. We chose it because we wanted the option to cook, and the thoughtful welcome made us feel spoiled. The property is part of the Hotel Penzinghof Collection, which seemed to be run with a lot of care and efficiency. We were given guidebooks and maps, as well as gifts including a travel card for local transport and a ski lift ride up the mountain. It’s in a peaceful, charming neighborhood, just a short walk from the train station. There’s a lovely natural outdoor swimming pool nearby, and the infinity pool was one of the highlights of our trip. A memorable stay, with lots of considerate details.

All the basics were there: a door to get in and out, windows for looking through and letting in sunlight, plus a bed, fridge, and stove. What more could one ask for?

We spent six nights here and loved the hospitality, the warm welcome, the food, rooms, and wellness facilities. Kitzbuhel is only 10 minutes away, and the lift for the local ski area is right outside the hotel. Special thanks to our lovely Dragana, and to all the hotel staff from Croatians.

Breakfast was a real plus, with a good selection and places to sit inside or outside. The service was great, too. Our room was lovely and clean, with an outdoor area that was nice to open up to each morning. The mountain views all around the hotel are stunning.

The pool view was great, but I wouldn’t return. This didn’t feel like a four-star hotel, perhaps three stars at most, and you have to pay extra for almost everything. The rooms were untidy, and there wasn’t enough staff in the lobby, gym, or pool area. The staff could be moody and unpleasant. One waitress seemed so irritated when I asked her for something a few times that I thought she might kill me. There are lots of better hotels for at least 30% less. Never again.
