Carpe Solem Jules

The location is hard to beat, just a few steps from the ski lifts. Our room was beautiful, spotless, and laid out well, and the hosts were professional and friendly, making us feel right at home. We loved the delicious food and the wellness area. The sauna was perfect for relaxing after a day on the slopes. I'd rebook in a heartbeat next time I'm in Obertauern. Highly recommended!

The rooms were pleasant and clean, and had been recently renovated. But the air was very dry and poor in quality, which made the rooms uncomfortably hot. We were also disappointed with how the staff treated our dog. The hotel was advertised as dog-friendly, and we paid an extra fee for our pet, but when new guests arrived we were asked to leave breakfast. We understand not everyone likes pets, but it was clear we weren't really welcome with our dog. Breakfast had a limited selection. Labels would have helped identify things like yogurt with fruit, muesli, and other less obvious foods. Often there were no labels at all, and the ones that were there were only in German. It would have been nice to have them in English too. Just to clarify in response to the hotel's explanation: we have a small dachshund, not a Cane Corso, so there's no need to worry that anyone might be scared.

The apartment building is right beside the slope, which made the location very convenient. We were a family group of eight, with six adults, a four-year-old, and a baby, and had a wonderful stay at chez Jules. The apartment was fully equipped, the breakfast was great, and the restaurant service superb. We were more than happy to find Jules's place and hope to come back one day.

Lilly looked after us so well. She was attentive and polite. The food was delicious, creative, well prepared, and just really well done. I'd come back.
