The room was spacious, and the location is excellent for cross-country skiing: there's a great rental shop around the corner and the trail is only a two-minute walk away. Still, I found the value for money very poor, and I'd only book here if there were no other options, which might happen if you leave booking late. The rooms are old and worn, and the heating can't be adjusted. It got so hot that my skin became very dry, so I kept the window open. That made the nights noisy and disturbed my sleep. The bathroom was tiny and the water drained very slowly. There was no minibar, and toiletries were limited to a little hand soap, with no shower soap or shampoo. I've never come across that in a hotel in many years, and there wasn't even conditioner or body lotion. Most reviews here seem to be for the restaurant, but this is about the hotel.

The place had a nice feel and the service was friendly. The soups were especially good, though the Schlutzkrapfen were rather bland. We asked for bread and got some that seemed a little stale, as well as supermarket bread. It's not the best restaurant I've tried, but could be a pleasant choice for a simple meal. 🙃

We first stopped in for lunch on our arrival day, and liked the food so much that we came back every day. The blueberry and cheese strudel was so good we had it daily, and the waitresses were fantastic. 🎂

The spot was lovely in the afternoon sun, and the food was okay. But the man serving us was miserable, and getting his attention took ages. Even after asking for the bill, we waited a long time to pay. We won't be back.

Breakfast was okay, but the room felt dated, small, and stuffy. The bathroom was tiny and the ventilation very noisy. There was only hand soap, no shower gel or regular soap. The bed wasn't clean, and we didn't have extra towels or blankets in the room.
