There are several good restaurants on the slopes, and après-ski gets good press. Nearly all the hotels offer ski-in/ski-out access. The lift and trail network is very well connected, and the area is especially suited to beginners and intermediate skiers, with mostly blue and red runs. Its altitude also means snow is very reliable throughout the season. Obertauern is stretched out, though, and some other towns have more of an alpine village feel. It's about an hour and fifteen minutes from Salzburg.

The apartment is nicely furnished, though some of the furniture is showing wear. There's a small sauna and whirlpool inside, plus plenty of covered parking in the underground garage opposite the house. When there's enough snow, you can ski right up to the top of the house. In the morning, it's a ten-minute walk downhill to the lift. A beautiful place near the lifts and slopes, and a good stay overall.
