Ellen greeted us when we arrived and made us feel very welcome. Our apartment was large, clean, and comfortable, with a spacious kitchen and a nice view from the bedroom. The location is hard to beat in Oetz: the Spar supermarket is even closer than the main ski lift, which is within walking distance too. Bars and restaurants are just a few hundred meters away, about a 5-10 minute walk. I'd definitely stay at Haus Alpengruss again.
The location was good and the price fair, but things weren't well organized for our arrival, and the place could have been better maintained.
The family running the house were so kind and capable, and we'll definitely come back. The ski lift and all the shops are only about a five-minute walk away. Thanks for everything! ❤️
We spent a week here in March 2025, four of us including our two children, and felt at home the whole time. The apartment was lovely and very clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed, plus more. The two owners are incredibly kind. With the Spar supermarket only 100 meters away and the ski lift close by, the location worked really well. We highly recommend the Alpengruss apartment building and would happily return.
We came because the accommodation was very affordable, despite the outrageously high tourist tax. Our room was lovely, the hosts were great, and there was a refrigerator in the hallway. The Ötztal Valley itself is beautiful, but we don't think it's worth returning: we paid €56 in tourist tax for a week and all we got were two keychains. The benefits included with the Ötztal Card are laughable, there's almost no free parking, and restaurants are expensive. It's a shame.
