Villa Ambach

After I ran into a problem and needed help, the property ignored my calls and messages for five days. I eventually complained through booking.com, and they replied with unsuitable suggestions and no real interest in finding a reasonable solution. I ended up paying the full price here while also having to book another hotel. If you stay, hope nothing goes wrong, because I couldn't get any help. The host was unbelievably unreasonable. Stay away.

The receptionist thankfully managed to find us a room, but we still had to change rooms twice during the stay, which was a huge inconvenience. We had booked by email and had a correct confirmation, yet on arrival the owner said there was no reservation and kept insisting even after we showed the email. The whole thing was badly handled and chaotic. I wouldn't recommend it.

The room was much better than we expected for €100 a night. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom spotless, and the shower had fantastic water pressure. Breakfast was excellent too, with staff keeping everything running smoothly. We stayed at Villa Ambach for two nights while skiing in Sölden, and it felt like a real bargain for the quality. It's at the start of the Ötztal Valley, with plenty of parking and easy access to the slopes. Great value if you're skiing in Sölden or visiting the Ötztal Valley.

Our group of 8 loved the place. It felt more like a professionally run homestay than a hotel, and the prices were very reasonable. Check-in went smoothly, the room was even more comfortable than it looked in the pictures, and there was plenty of parking. Breakfast was much better than I expected from such a small place, with freshly squeezed orange juice and a good range of fresh fruit. With breakfast included, it felt like better value than Airbnb.
