Our second-floor flat was spotless, with comfortable beds and a well-equipped kitchen, and we had a wonderful time at Pension Strauß. Regina and Hans and family ran everything with such charm and grace. There’s just one small shop nearby in Ossiach, so you’ll need transport to shop for supplies. We came by train from England, walked, and hired bikes from the Bike Point. We rode east via the reflooded wetland as far as Feldkirchen, and had a good meal at Restaurant zum Hexenpfandl, about 5km there and back. Swimming in the Ossiacher See was beautiful, with lots of fish around. Highly recommended.

The kids had so much fun, and so did we. Guests can use the private lake access and the boat, kayak, and sap. All the equipment is well maintained. Our rooms were clean, spacious, beautiful, and cozy, and the breakfast was excellent and generous. The service was warm and welcoming. This was the best resort we’ve stayed at, and we had a great holiday.

The beds were the most comfortable we’ve ever had in any accommodation, and the friendly, attentive service added to the feeling of being at home. Direct access to the lake and the dreamy setting were among the many things we liked. We only stayed two nights while passing through, but we’ll definitely return.

The private beach is beautiful, peaceful, and well maintained, with everything you need. The rooms and apartments are modern, and the hosts are very friendly. We always enjoy coming back.
