I've been returning to this camping spot for about 13 years, and the community still means a lot to me. Sadly, the site itself has lost what made it special. It used to have weekly kids' activities, a water trampoline, spotless toilets and showers that were cleaned daily, and lively restaurant nights with music and live bands. Now the trampoline is just a basic raft, the toilets aren't cleaned as thoroughly, and the same cobweb can hang around for weeks. There's visible mold on the shower ceilings, and the restaurant's food is okay, but the events and energy have disappeared. Prices have risen every year and feel too high for what's offered. I keep coming back for the community we've built, but the campsite's heart feels like it's fading. I hope the owners bring back some of its old magic.
The welcome from reception was the best part: warm and friendly, and one staff member was always smiling and happy to chat. Our camper had a nicely spaced out spot, with a great view of the lake and mountains, and it was quiet at night. The area is kid friendly too. It is a bit pricey, though that's normal around here.
The mountain and lake views are astonishing, the staff at both the campsite and restaurant are very friendly, and there are forest hiking paths with little waterfalls. But pitches have no privacy, with no bushes, trees, or fences, and there's no water tap directly at the pitch. Dogs are charged for their stay, yet there's hardly anything for them: just a tiny field that's more like a toilet area, with no dog shower, beach, play area, or drinking fountains. Dogs are forbidden from all lake water, even though they need to cool off more than people. As an animal lover, I can't recommend this campsite. One night with a camper is expensive.
Our mobile home had everything we needed, and we had a great time. The campsite is very peaceful and quiet.
We like this peaceful campsite and have been here twice. It's dog friendly, though dogs aren't allowed in the lake. That's okay for a short stay.
