Haus Lavendel

The staff were great and happy to help, and the place itself is awesome. My room was clean, neat, and spacious. I was let down by the lack of AC in the room and the small parking lot, which didn't have space for my car. The cushions were extremely soft, which I liked, but if that's not your thing, they're no good. Still, it's an amazing place to stay.

Friendly service, but poor value for money. We ordered four different dishes, and the portions seemed small for the prices. The food tasted very plain, nothing special, and it took longer than expected to arrive even though the restaurant was only half full in midsummer. We won't return. There are better restaurants around, for example on the other side of the lake.

Never again. The tiny attic room was full of spiders and other insects, with no AC. Opening the windows wasn't really an option because of smoke from their own grill and all the noise from the main road. The shower water kept changing temperature. The food was awful: they couldn't even get scrambled eggs right, over-salting and drying them out, then putting salty cheese on top. The pastries seemed to be at least a day old, and there was no advertised welcome drink. The rental bikes were in terrible condition, and the Wi-Fi worked only half the time. One tired-looking, kind lady seemed to do all the work, while the chefs were constantly hidden away on smoke breaks.

The grilled meat was lovely, and the dinner was excellent, with nice sides too. The Serbian mixed grill and grilled pineapple with ice cream were great. The staff were nice, and the atmosphere was relaxed, with a great view of the mountains.
