A great choice for a nature focused break or a digital detox for kids and parents. No machines, frills, or hidden costs. There's a big playroom with table tennis, foosball, and more for rainy days. The food is regional and high quality, with fries, ice cream, and burgers still available for kids. Staff are efficient and extremely friendly.

The restaurant is very good, with regional food and excellent, top-notch service. It seems to be part of a hotel, but zoo visitors can eat there too. I can't comment on the hotel itself.

There are ducks, peacocks, and other animals, and it's very suitable for families with children. The food is still very good, though the game used to be prepared better. I first came here as a child, when my family of about 8 or 10 ate here at least monthly. The place used to feel cozier and more historic, and the fantastic cakes are gone. Modern isn't necessarily better. Unfortunately, the men here are unfriendly. All the best to the animals and the Distelberger family.
