Aparthotel Sunrise

The apartment had a very modern kitchen with a dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, and all the other basics. Breakfast was extensive, and I especially liked the bison sausage and ham, which you can also buy. Every Friday evening there's bison goulash as part of a three-course meal, highly recommended. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and handled requests for fried or scrambled eggs with care. When we arrived, the hotel manager welcomed us with complimentary coffee or beer, then went through our questions about excursions and restaurants, explaining things on a map. We stayed in the apartment.

The wellness area was amazing, and breakfast was fresh and delicious. The place is clean, fragrant, and stylish, just as it should be. Although there are plenty of places to stay around the Dachstein foothills near Ramsau am Dachstein, this one is the best. The lovely owner was helpful with the accommodation arrangements and gave us lots of tips on places to visit. Thanks, it's wonderful here. Keep up the A1* service and hospitality.

We spent our ski holiday in the "Dachstein" apartment at Aparthotel Sunrise from January 5th to 12th, 2014. The valley views across the Enns Valley to Hochwurzen and towards Schladming were sensational, and the apartment had a separate single bedroom, which we chose because of our older daughter. It was fully equipped with a coffee machine, dishwasher, kettle, oven, stove, and fridge with freezer compartment. The wellness area was very nice, with a sauna, whirlpool, steam room I didn't try, and a spacious relaxation room overlooking the valley. The apartment is just a few steps from the Ramsau cross-country trails, which cover over 200 km. The ski room by the entrance isn't huge, but it has the warmest, biggest boot warmer I've encountered on many ski trips. My boots were dry and perfectly warm each morning. Parking is right in front of the building. We also really appreciated the morning delivery of bread from the organic bakery to our door. Even when we changed our order a few times, the Knaus family, who own the hotel, stayed friendly and accommodating. For downhill skiing, the bus stop is 50 meters away, but the bus only goes twice in the morning and once at midday on the return. To reach Planai in Schladming or Hauser Kaibling without changing buses, you have to walk 700 meters to the main road or arrange a ride. We wholeheartedly recommend Aparthotel Sunrise.

The ground-floor apartment was huge and felt more like a flat, with a fantastic terrace that must have been at least 16 square meters. We also enjoyed the little spa area and sauna. Check-in was easy, and the staff were very friendly. The place was mostly very clean. The furnishings are nothing special, but they do the job. Our daughter, the third person, wasn't included at first, but they fixed it right away. Absolutely recommended for the price.
