Zettersfeld worked best for our two families, who had different skiing abilities. The map makes it look small, but it has good lifts, nice restaurants with views, and lots of genuinely easy blue runs. Some of the runs marked blue at Moelltal Gletscher felt more like red ones, difficult in places. The hotel is well placed for reaching several ski areas. Its bright, modern rooms are spacious, clean, and practical for a ski trip. The team worked hard and were friendly; the owner could be busy, but helped whenever we needed something. We ate really well. The dinner buffet had plenty of tasty choices for kids, hungry meat eaters, and vegans. It may not be as huge as one at the Ritz Carlton or a 5-star beach resort in Turkey, but the food was exceptionally fresh for a buffet. Complaints about it below are hard for me to understand. Congrats to the cook and team! I didn't use the wellness area myself, though family and friends liked the atmosphere and the treatments. And there is somewhere to sit and chat or play after dinner: the fireplace area near reception has a few tables, with drinks and tea available.

My friends and I stayed three nights at Margarethenbad Lainach Hotel in February 2025. The place was clean and tidy, and the food was good, but there was no lobby where guests could sit and talk. We asked staff if we could use a table in one area. When we went to drink, the owner came over and said we weren't allowed to have our drinks there. I asked if I could finish what was already in my glass, and he took it and spilled it on my hand. It was 8 PM when he told us to leave and go to our rooms. He shouted at all of us and said nasty things to my friends. We've never had hotel staff, especially an owner, treat us like that before. The hotel's history mentions a 70-year tradition; apparently the owner missed some lessons he should have learned from his father. It would've been much smarter to have a drink with us and work things out so everyone was satisfied. 😊

The owner and staff were the rudest we've ever encountered. He claimed we stole something from the bar, which is a complete lie, and I'd like him to show the video proof. My sister's unfinished wine, which she bought at the bar, was taken away. He deliberately spilled schnaps on my friend's hand, shouted at us, called us awful names, and threatened to lock us out of our rooms. Avoid this hotel at any cost. Maybe they only like their own, if you're not Austrian.

A very unkind illness, something you rarely see. The boss yelled at us and made everyone return to their rooms. My room was the worst accommodation I've ever had in Austria. The others were a little better, but mine was a disaster. I'll never stay at this hotel again.
